Company profile

Westwools Carpets commenced manufacture in 1977 and over the last twenty years has relocated twice. This final location puts Westwools in the heart of West Australia’s famous Port of Fremantle and like the town, Westwools, has earn’t the accolade of being a wholly owned Australian mill as well as West Australia’s only manufacturer of premium wool and synthetic carpets for both the commercial and residential market.

Notwithstanding this Westwools have recently undergone further expansion to setup another manufacturing facility in Melbourne. This new operation has given the company greater flexibility to meet the needs and demands of a growing country within.

The diversity of modern machinery, exceptional quality of raw material coupled with a team of dedicated and technical orientated employees over two sites (and states) makes Westwools the first choice, whether the carpet selected is for home refurbishment or modern commercial development.

Westwools is committed to being a market leader and innovator who utilizes state of the art technology to bring to you the design, colour and yarn composition that you the client expects from today’s manufacturers. To bring these dreams to life Westwools can, not only supply a computer printout of your idea but also a finished sample from Kibby hand-trial machine.

It is this technology that allows Westwools to be a driving force within the commercial market place, whether it’s in the areas of hospitality, government, education or corporate business.

Backed by this is Westwools commitment to quality of which we were one of the first to be certified under current ISO Standards.

Currently Westwools has a number of Woollen Products tested in accordance with IMO Resolution A. 653 (16) to allow for their use in ships.

DNV Quality Systems Certificate

Westwools will always provide a quality product to meet it’s client requirements and will act with integrity, honesty in dealing with customers, suppliers, employees and the broader community in general.

We could go on.(And on.) But if we haven't covered everything, at least our carpets have.
